The 2018 Light Nelson had an 'unofficial' project 'Power to the People'. It was a chance to add something special during that year’s event and to encourage others to add a bit of spontaneous colour, light and art to our city. This project was more than just coloured light though; By making it possible for the colours to be controlled by anybody in Nelson (or, in fact, the World!) we hoped to remind everybody that Council works for the people and that the building belongs to us all. A big thank you to Nelson City Council for their trust and for providing the opportunity and to Rock Quest for the loan of the lighting equiptment. All time and equiptment was donated for free.
